...but I think that Harper's sheets have something to do with how well she sleeps. She has slept AWESOME the last two nights. Like, better than ever, I think. She's gone down about 8 (we're prepping for the time change) and then she woke up both nights about 6 (wow!), I fed her, and then she went back down until 8. How great is that? When the time changes, that will be 7-7 basically. Of course, I know better than to really think we're on a roll, but a girl can hope, right!?
Anyway, back to the sheets. She had been sleeping pretty well up until last Friday. After that, she was sleeping like total crap, up every few hours, and then wanting to get up for the day at 5am. Ugh. Well, last Friday, we changed her sheets. Then, two nights ago, we changed her sheets again, back to the set that had been on previously. Then what happens? Yep, she starts sleeping really well again. Now, I realize this could simply be coincidence, but how strange is that? The sheet set that seems to be the "good" set is the organic quilted under sheet and organic top sheet. When I had to wash that, we put on a flatter, plasticized under sheet (not one that makes tons of noise or anything) and a flannel top sheet. I told Brad that's it, we're going out and buying multiple quilted under sheets. I have a few of the organic top sheets but only one of those under sheets. Of course, now she'll sleep like crap tonight, right?
Harper had her 6 month check up yesterday and is doing great! She is in the 75th percentile for weight and the 90th percentile for height! I am still sure that will even out because Brad and I are such shrimps but it's still fun for now. The doc says she is long and nicely weighty. He says he often sees that in the BF babies at this point. He was also very encouraging about the BFing and again said that the solids at this point are pretty much just as we see fit and that the BF is where the really good stuff is at. He also was wondering about her care situation when I am at work. He guessed that she wasn't in a center and I said no, she's pretty much watched by my mom and a friend at this point. He said that they've been SO busy lately with kids from centers because they've all been passing along a bunch of yuck. I had been worried just a tad about her ears but they looked good too. It also looks like she's working on 2 top teeth. She had a bunch of shots (three!) and screamed like crazy and then was fine. I nursed her right away and she took a little nap while on and off comfort nursing and then she was totally fine. Yeah!
I have to tell you, too, that today I cleaned up my first completely NASTY diaper. Holy Lord that thing was nasty. She hadn't pooped since Monday night (the new solids messing things up) and when it blew, it blew. It was all over the place and stank so bad I gagged. When I had her on the changing table she started fussing, then crying, and then straining again and more came out. Poor thing. The funny thing was, though, that once I got her all cleaned up and put her down to play, she was laughing and bouncing and super cheerful. I guess we all feel better once we get it all out :)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! We'll be going for our traditional pizza burger outing tonight. I may take Alyssa out trick or treating and then I'l bring Harper along just for fun. Dandy, hope all is well with the visit! Leets, we need an update, I didn't even know about the floors!

The floors? I must've missed something!
That's really funny about the sheets but I totally believe it. Organic is always better :)
So she went several days without pooping? Is that normal? Donating does always make people feel better!!!!
